We used different media technologies when filming, planning and researching, for our music video. For planning and research we used the internet and sites like YouTube to research different types of Rap videos, as well as research what song we wanted to use. At first we had a selection of songs which we then went online a studied there videos for the song if there was one.
When we were researching we watched videos by artists such as Eminem and Example, this helped us in preparing what is needed to create a suitable video. We used ITunes to download the song, as well as listen to the music. We also used The IPhone as a camera to take pictures for our location and setting, this allowed us to use Google Maps to get a bird’s eye view of the location as well as location ideas.
When constructing our video we used software pinnacle, to edit and finish our video. The use of media technologies contributed a lot when we were researching and planning the video. A key resource throughout the different stages was YouTube, YouTube helped us research peoples own music videos as well as music videos by our artist. We also used YouTube when we were trying to work out which shots to use and how.
